About the role
We are seeking an experienced Electrician with mechanical experience to join our Maintenance Department. This position is responsible for performing complex technical work involving the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, fixtures, machinery, and related systems including PLCs programming and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical skills along with Controls experience and the ability to troubleshoot and repair both production equipment and facility systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, operate, maintain, modify, service, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, fixtures, and related components.
Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain production machinery and facility equipment.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems and determine appropriate corrective actions.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and improvements.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance issues to minimize production downtime.
Follow all applicable safety procedures, electrical codes, and company policies.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment conditions.
Work independently and as part of the Maintenance team to support production and facility needs.
Help maintain spare parts inventory.
Qualifications:
3+ years of industrial electrical or controls experience preferred.
Proven experience as an industrial or maintenance electrician.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing PLC-controlled machinery.
Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience preferred.
Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, motors, control circuits, and related equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings, and technical manuals.
Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, relays, contractors, and safety circuits.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and respond to maintenance needs as required.
Ability to act competently in emergency situations.
Work effectively with other team members.
Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and routinely lift items up to 50 pounds.
