About the role
- Actively sell, handle, and distribute 50/50 raffle tickets using a mobile handheld or stationary device before and during Firebirds hockey games
- Effectively engage with Firebirds guests regarding the 50/50 raffle and One Valley Foundation in a fast-paced environment
- Accurately reconcile credit card sales totals after each game
- Effectively meet and strive to exceed established sales goals.
- Serve as a Firebirds ambassador during games and get fans excited about participating in the raffle.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact with a large and diverse fan base
- Excellent communication skills with an enthusiastic and professional attitude
- Cash handling experience and management of cash and credit reconciliation a plus
- Motivated and goal-oriented to reach or exceed sales milestones
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Must show a genuine enthusiasm for community involvement within the sports and entertainment industry
- Must be able to work a minimum of 80% of Firebirds' home games
- Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy equipment
- Ability to climb up and down stairs multiple times during a shift
