About the role

Position Summary: Berkel & Company Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage projects specializing in deep foundations and earth retention systems, including:
  • Sheeting and Shoring:
  • Soldier pile and lagging walls
  • Sheet pile walls
  • TiebacksShotcrete and soil nail walls
  • Internally braced walls
  • Deep Foundations:
  • Micropiles
  • Driven bearing piles
  • Pressure grouting
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Estimating, design, and project management for the installation of deep foundation systems throughout the Midwest, specifically Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan and West Virginia. Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals and submittals. Budget monitoring and trend tracking Planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects of assigned projects Monitor jobs for compliance on applicable codes, engineering practices, and company standards Ensure effective communication and production on assigned projects between all crew members and the general contractor Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolving client, engineering, and project management issues Monthly project status reports and change orders Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
