About the role
JBS USA Production Manager This role is responsible for overseeing daily production activities within the Slaughter Department. The position ensures production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and food-safety standards. It requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to work effectively with both line personnel and plant management.
Key responsibilities include:
Reporting to the Slaughter Office for order sheets and attending supervisor meetings. Directing employees to meet production volume, quality standards, cost targets, and delivery schedules. Addressing employee grievances, disputes, or concerns promptly; escalating unresolved issues to Personnel. Participating actively in group meetings and line meetings. Partnering with Quality Control to ensure product quality and food-safety compliance. Training, coaching, and developing employees to build management depth and strong teamwork. Monitoring machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure proper maintenance and sanitation. Maintaining positive employee relations and ensuring adherence to labor contract provisions. Communicating regularly with line personnel and plant management. All other duties as assigned.
Required skills include:
Strong team orientation. Effective communication abilities. Strong people-management skills. Bilingual skills preferred but not required.
Working conditions include:
Hot environment with temperatures around 90+ degrees. Frequent exposure to knives, hot water, and production machinery. Significant physical activity, including walking and stair climbing. Work environment includes slick floors and loud noise. EOE/Vets/Disability
