Create compelling powersports design concepts and visualizations that contribute to future Honda PS&P products. Support all phases of vehicle development through sketching, digital modeling, research, and cross-functional collaboration while advancing Honda brand identity and customer value.Key Accountabilities
Develops original styling concepts through sketching, rendering, and digital design tools, supporting the creation of innovative and production-feasible design proposals. Develop 2D and 3D design proposals under the guidance of senior designers. while balancing aesthetics, functionality, cost, and manufacturability to meet program objectives.Collaborates with Design, Engineering, Product Planning, and Modeling teams throughout the development process, supporting design reviews, issue resolution, and project milestones while integrating technical and manufacturing requirements to ensure designs remain feasible and aligned with the original design intent.Participates in market, consumer, and competitive research to identify styling trends, emerging technologies, and customer preferences. Contributes creative ideas and insights during concept development and brainstorming activities to support innovative and customer-focused design solutions.Supports design reviews and presentations with internal stakeholders while assisting in the development of physical and digital models throughout the design process.Stays current on industry trends, design tools, and Powersports products/customers while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, best practices, and efficient design processes that enhance the overall effectiveness of the Styling team.Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial / Transportation / Graphic Design or related fieldMinimum of 3 months’ work experience with a bachelor’s degree in related field. 4+ years of related work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree or combination of same.Strong sketching and visual communication skills.Proficiency in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Alias, Blender, Rhino, or equivalent.Ability to translate ideas into compelling visual concept.General knowledge of PS&P products and market.Working Conditions
Travel - Average of 0 – 1 times per month or more depending on project demands/responsibilities; includes possible overseas/international travel.Physical - Primarily works at a desk; frequent keyboarding. Limited kneeling, standing, reaching, bending or pushing. Heavy physical effort required (pushing more than 50 lbs.). Hazards - Risks found in a typical office setting.
