About the role

Space Break Construction LLC | Phoenix, AZ | On-site / Field | 1099 Contractor About Space Break Space Break Construction is a licensed Arizona residential builder (ROC #348547) and Phoenix's specialist in casitas and accessory dwelling units. Our niche: the ADU builders turning unused lots into income, independence, and opportunity for families. We are a vertically integrated builder — in-house crews, in-house project management, our own warranty — with average casita contracts over $200,000. Demand is climbing and our build capacity is expanding to match.
Our mission: Turning empty spaces into value, one family at a time.
The Role: We are hiring a Casita Sales Consultant to own the full sales cycle for new ADU projects across the Phoenix metro. This is a high-ticket, consultative residential sale — not a setter role, not a one-call close. You will meet with homeowners on their property, listen to what they actually want the casita to do for their family, scope it accurately with our design and operations team, and bring the contract home. Approximately 90% of your leads will be company-provided. You are not building a pipeline from cold dials — you are converting warm homeowner interest into signed contracts. You will report directly to Garin Jankowski, President of Sales.
What You Will Do: Run in-home and on-site consultations with homeowners interested in adding a casita, guest house, or ADU to their property Qualify lots — setbacks, utilities, access, HOA, zoning — well enough to flag deal-killers early Walk homeowners through our process, payment schedule, financing options, and timeline Translate homeowner goals into a clear scope our design and ops teams can build to Write and negotiate contracts using our fixed-price agreement and change order framework Maintain a clean, accurate pipeline in Job Tread (we will train you on the system)Follow up. Most casita deals are not won on visit one. Coordinate handoff to project management cleanly so the customer experience does not break at the contract signing
What You Bring: Minimum 5 years of high-ticket residential sales — home improvement, solar, roofing, windows, pools, custom homes, remodels, or similar. Casita or ADU experience is a plus, not a requirement. A demonstrated track record of closing $100K+ residential contracts Comfort presenting numbers, payment schedules, and financing options without flinching The ability to read a lot — basic understanding of setbacks, easements, and what permitting looks like in Maricopa County (we will fill the gaps)Reliable transportation, clean driving record, valid Arizona driver's license Strong written and verbal communication. You will be putting things in writing that homeowners and our ops team rely on. Self-managed. You will have support, but no one is going to babysit your pipeline. What You Will Not Be Doing Cold-calling out of a call center Self-generating 90% of your own pipeline — we feed you warm leads Selling something you cannot deliver — our crews build what you sell Fighting the company for your commission. The math is the math. Compensation 1099 independent contractor for the first 6 months. After a successful 6-month probation, a W-2 offer with standard benefits is available. Commission structure: 3% on company-provided leads (~90% of your appointments) 5% on self-generated leads — you bring it in, you earn more on it At our $200,000+ average contract, that is $6,000 per closed deal on company leads, $10,000 on self-generated leads Target performance: 5 closes per month. At target, expected earnings range $30,000 to $50,000 per month depending on lead mix. Core Values We hire to these. They are not wall art. How to Apply: Send a resume and a short note — three to five sentences — telling us about the biggest residential sale you have ever closed and what made it close. Apply through Linked In or email hiring@spacebreakconstruction.com. Space Break Construction is an equal opportunity employer. Office: 4655 W McDowell Rd, Suite 110, Phoenix, AZ 85035

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
