Job Type/Status: Part-time (20hrs will include weekends)/Non-Exempt

The Receiving and Processing (R&P) Associate is responsible for receiving donations of used building materials and surplus items then moving these materials, after the items have been priced, onto the Community Forklift (CF) warehouse floor. A primary responsibility of the R&P Associate is to assist in the daily maintenance of the warehouse by keeping the space clean, safe and presentable. The R&P Associate position helps the Sales staff assist shoppers by providing information about materials and products, and moving materials and products to the front end of the store as required. The R&P Associate provides support unloading the donation trucks, moving materials in the courtyard area and merchandising display areas as needed. Essential Job Function Warehouse FloorClean and organize merchandise displays and the warehouse to help maintain a clean and presentable environment Move product from the processing areas and place in the appropriate area of the sales floor Assist the Sales team to merchandise products on the sales floor as requested Accept and process donations from community drop-off donors; turning down items CF does not accept Ensure that all CF donations forms are completely filled out and legible; then provide a copy for the donor and the CF donation forms files Assist the Donations team in unloading the trucks when the vehicles return to the warehouse Assist with metal recycling program; stripping appliances and products of recyclable metals and placing into the appropriate containers Follow safety policies and procedures Customer Service Provide information to donors and customers about items that CF does not accept and offer alternative methods for donating or disposal of these materials Move materials or products to the front desk sales area, as required, for customers Answer customers questions for information on products or seek answers from other knowledgeable staff Interact professionally with customer and staff to promote CFPromote CF in-store activities, workshops and community outreach events Provide support and assistance for CF’s in-store events by creating a festive and welcoming atmosphere TeamWork cooperatively and collaboratively with staff to fulfill the CF mission and support team activities Openly and respectfully communicate with all CF staff with a commitment to conflict resolution communication Participate in organizational activities and meetings Provide support and assistance to CF staff with activities and projects as requested Provide clear and direct communication to supervisors and co-workers concerning opportunities or challenges you encounter Take a proactive attitude towards ensuring the safety of customers, your colleagues and yourself at all times.
Minimum Requirements:- Capacity to perform physical labor and moderate- to heavy-lifting (up to 60 lbs.) in a non-climate controlled environment including the ability to work in all seasons and in difficult weather conditions

Must be available to work weekends
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.Education and Experience/Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred 4 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of education
Compensation$17 per hour
