You'll work with customers who have outstanding accounts, helping them understand their options and establish appropriate payment arrangements. What You'll Be Doing: Manage a portfolio of assigned delinquent accounts. Contact debtors by phone, email, and written correspondence regarding outstanding debts and payment options. Negotiate and establish payment arrangements. Document collection activities, communications, and payment arrangements accurately and in compliance with federal regulations. Provide respectful, professional customer service while addressing questions and concerns. Use skip tracing tools and techniques to locate difficult-to-reach debtors.
What You'll Need: High school diploma or equivalent.0 to 1 year of experience in collections or related customer service. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong negotiation, persuasion, and active listening skills. Ability to handle difficult conversations and resolve conflicts professionally. Strong organization and attention to detail. Basic computer skills. Ability to work flexible days, evenings, and weekends as required. Ability to obtain the required collection license upon placement. Familiarity with collections software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of debt collection laws and compliance requirements is a plus.
Schedule: The position is hybrid, with 2 days per week in the Newark, Delaware office. After training, schedules may include:8:00 AM to 5:00 PM10:00 AM to 7:00 PM12:00 PM to 9:00 PMManagement will assign shifts based on business needs, so candidates should be comfortable with the available schedules.
