Job Description: We are looking for a reliable and responsible Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver in Fairfield, CA, to transport clients safely to and from medical appointments. This is mainly wheelchair transportation. This role is essential in ensuring clients receive timely, safe, and comfortable transportation, making a meaningful impact in the community.
Responsibilities: - Provide safe, timely transportation for clients to medical appointments.- Ensure client safety and comfort during transport and assist clients with mobility as needed.- Follow traffic laws and company protocols for safety and efficiency.- Use navigation software to optimize routes and maintain effective communication with dispatch.- Conduct basic vehicle checks and keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained.
Requirements: - Must be 21 years or older.- Clean driving record (background and drug test required)- Dependable, quick-thinking, and comfortable handling unexpected situations.- Proficient in using GPS and new software.- Sharp-minded, attentive, and able to maintain focus.- This position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing as mandated by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). Compliance with DOT regulations is a condition of employment. Candidates must be willing to participate in pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing as required.
