About the role
The Social Media Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in the New York City Metropolitan / Stamford, CT area, with flexibility for part-time work from home. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing social media campaigns across platforms to increase brand visibility and engagement, with a primary goal of encouraging young people to consider a career in precision manufacturing generally and with Talon Precision specifically. Day-to-day tasks include creating and scheduling posts, drafting compelling copy, developing content calendars, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to highlight company capabilities, projects, and milestones, including the apprenticeship and training programs of our "Talon University." Additional responsibilities include managing community interactions, responding to comments and messages, and ensuring content aligns with Talon's vision.
Qualifications:
Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) skills to plan, execute, and refine multi-platform campaigns. Communication and Writing skills to create clear, engaging, and brand-consistent messaging. Content Strategy skills to build structured content calendars and align social efforts with business objectives. Experience with social media analytics tools and performance reporting. Familiarity with B2B marketing, particularly in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial sectors, is preferred but not required. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating both on-site and remotely. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing multiple campaigns and deadlines.
