Role Description:
The Behavioral Health Technician is a part-time/full-time, located in Westmoreland or Fayette Counties, Pennsylvania. Primary responsibilities include supporting licensed clinicians in delivering behavioral health services. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing behavior intervention plans, observing and documenting client behaviors, and assisting with individual and group sessions under clinical supervision. The role involves maintaining accurate records, monitoring progress, and communicating observations to the clinical team to inform treatment planning. The Behavioral Health Technician also helps ensure a safe, structured, and supportive environment, collaborates with families and caregivers when appropriate, and follows all ethical, confidentiality, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess skills in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis for implementing and monitoring behavior plans. Agency will provide 40 hour training Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and multidisciplinary team members. Candidates should possess Behavioral Intervention skills for supporting clients in managing and changing targeted behaviors. Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Psychology to understand behavioral principles and client needs. Relevant qualifications may include a high school diploma or GED; postsecondary coursework or a degree in psychology, social work, or related field is preferred. Experience working in behavioral health, mental health, or human services settings is beneficial. Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow clinical guidelines, and document accurately in accordance with agency policies. Dependability, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff in an on-site environment.
