BBC Research & Consulting (BBC) is a Denver-based economic and policy research firm that works with public and private sector organizations across the country. Our work spans various social and economic areas including equity and inclusion, business growth and success, community development, health outcomes, public services, and education. Position: Our work products primarily comprise research reports, presentations, and one-pagers, and the quality of those deliverables—including their design and aesthetic—is critical to our success. We seek a qualified design and layout specialist to join our team as a part-time data visualist who will help ensure that all our work products meet our high quality standards.
Primary responsibilities will include: - Developing data figures, graphs, and tables;- Laying out research reports;- Creating research presentations; and- Creating one-pagers summarizing key results.
Requirements: Requirements for the position include:- Clean and elegant design aesthetic;- Close attention to detail;- Commitment to timeliness;- Willingness to learn; and- Proactive approach to work. Demonstrable experience in a similar role is required, and a four-year college degree in graphic design or a related field is preferred.
Compensation: $50,000-$70,000, inclusive of salary and annual bonus (prorated for part-time status)
Work schedule: BBC team members are required to work from our downtown office on Mondays and Wednesdays and have the option to work remotely on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. We provide necessary computer equipment and any other equipment for the duration of our team members’ tenure at the firm. We expect the person in the role to work five days per week. We will work with the candidate to determine the expected number of hours per week for the role.
