- In your day-to-day, you will:
- Evaluate and manage rehabilitation patients across a diverse caseload, including postoperative patients, athletes, seniors, and patients with chronic or mobility-related conditions
- Develop individualized rehabilitation plans based on each patient's diagnosis, goals, and functional needs
- Utilize wet and dry rehabilitation modalities, including the water treadmill, therapeutic laser, PEMF, and Assisi loops
- Collaborate closely with Surgery, Neurology, Emergency & Critical Care, and other specialty services on comprehensive patient care
- Work alongside dedicated rehabilitation nurses and support their continued development and certification
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referring veterinarians and clients
- Communicate rehabilitation plans and progress clearly and compassionately with pet owners
- Help expand the Rehabilitation Service and identify opportunities for new treatments, protocols, and capabilities
- Mentor and develop members of the rehabilitation support team
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
- Take advantage of opportunities to grow the service within SAGE's newly renovated additional space
- What You BringDVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for California veterinary licensure
- Certification in canine rehabilitation, such as CCRT, CCRP, CCRV, or VMRTVeterinary acupuncture certification such as CVA, CVMA, or CVAT preferred
- Small animal clinical experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient and client care
- An interest in building relationships with referring veterinarians and growing a specialty service
