Role Description:
The Project Manager role at Mackey Electrical Services Inc. is a full-time, on-site position based in Laurel, MD. The Project Manager oversees electrical projects from planning through completion, including defining scope, setting timelines, and managing resources. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating materials and equipment, scheduling and directing field teams, and maintaining communication with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders. The role involves monitoring project progress, addressing issues, ensuring work meets safety and quality standards, and preparing status reports and documentation. The Project Manager also supports budgeting, cost control, and process improvements to help deliver projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
Experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating electrical or construction projects. Skills in expediting and working as an expeditor to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and documentation. Knowledge of logistics management to organize shipments, inventory, and site deliveries efficiently. Inspection skills to verify work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications and codes. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and follow-through. Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with clients, field teams, and vendors. Proficiency with project management software and basic office productivity tools. Experience in electrical contracting or construction environments; relevant certifications or licenses are a plus. Ability to work on-site in Laurel, MD, and occasionally travel to local project locations as needed.
