Role Description:
We are seeking a full-time Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer to join our growing team. This is a remote position with responsibility for the design and coordination of plumbing and fire protection systems for a variety of building types throughout Florida. Responsibilities will include system layouts, pipe sizing, equipment selection, calculations, specifications, construction documents, and coordination with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines. The position will also involve reviewing applicable codes and standards, responding to RFIs and submittals, participating in project coordination meetings, and providing technical support during construction. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of assigned projects, communicate effectively with clients and project teams, and grow with the company as our Plumbing and Fire Protection department continues to expand.

Experience preparing construction documents, specifications, calculations, and responding to RFIs and submittals. Strong understanding of domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage, natural gas, and fire protection systems. Ability to coordinate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients. Ability to independently manage multiple projects and meet project deadlines in a remote work environment. Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required. Experience with Florida projects and permitting requirements is strongly preferred.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
