Role Description:
The Sales Project Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Des Moines, IA, with flexibility for some work from home. This role manages insulation projects from initial inquiry through completion, including qualifying leads, preparing estimates, and developing proposals for residential and commercial customers. The Sales Project Manager coordinates schedules and resources with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting site visits, assessing project requirements, advising customers on insulation solutions, and maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. The role also involves tracking project progress, resolving issues, monitoring job costs, and supporting ongoing customer relationships to drive sales growth and repeat business.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong Project Coordination skills, including scheduling, prioritization, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret specifications, evaluate project scope, and prepare accurate estimates and proposals. Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills to build trust, handle inquiries, and support clients from pre-sale through post-installation. Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers, contractors, and internal teams. Candidates should possess proven Sales skills, with the ability to identify opportunities, present solutions, and close deals in a consultative manner. Relevant experience in construction, insulation, or building materials is preferred. Ability to work in a hybrid environment, including field visits and office/home-based tasks, and valid driver’s license for regional travel. Proficiency with basic office software and CRM tools, and strong organizational and time-management abilities. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, construction management, or a related field is a plus.
