About the role
Candidate will train on 1st shift (6:30a-4:30p) for 4 weeks, will then train on a split shift (12:00p-10p) for 2 weeks then will move into regular night shift (4:30p-2:30a)Team Leadership: Leading and motivating the production team during their shift, providing clear direction and ensuring everyone understands their roles and responsibilities. Production Planning and Scheduling: Managing the execution of production plans, ensuring the shift runs smoothly by allocating tasks based on schedules and available resources. Quality Control: Monitoring production quality, identifying and addressing any quality issues, and ensuring adherence to established quality standards. Performance Monitoring: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) like production output, efficiency, and scrap rates to identify areas for improvement. Problem-Solving: Quickly identifying and resolving production issues that arise during the shift, including equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or personnel challenges. Employee Training and Development: Providing on-the-job training to new employees and ensuring existing team members are adequately skilled to perform their tasks. Safety Compliance: Enforcing safety procedures and ensuring all team members follow proper safety protocols. Communication: Acting as a communication bridge between management and the production floor, relaying information and updates effectively. Shift Handoff: Properly documenting shift activities and providing detailed information to the incoming shift leader for smooth transition.
