About the role

About the Role: RADICL Defense is hiring a Product (UX/UI) Designer to simplify complex, alert-heavy cybersecurity workflows for SMBs in the U.S. Defense Industrial Base. The role focuses on rapid, AI-assisted prototyping and end-to-end product design, partnering closely with product and engineering to ship scalable UI and contribute to the design system. Role RADICL Defense is seeking a Product (UX/UI) Designer to design interfaces and workflows that make cybersecurity and compliance actionable for small and mid-sized businesses in the U.S. Defense Industrial Base. You will take ambiguous problems to polished, shipped solutions, balance tactical fixes with longer-term work, and help shape the product and design system as an early team member.
Key Responsibilities: Partner with the Senior Product Designer, product management, and engineering to turn ideas into shipped features. Rapidly prototype using AI-assisted and agentic tools (including vibe coding approaches) to validate concepts and interactions. Deliver wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI that scale within a design system. Balance quick UX/UI fixes on the live product with structured design initiatives and contributions to the design system. Own projects end-to-end from research and exploration through implementation and iteration.
Requirements
Must-haves: 2–4 years of product design experience with a portfolio showing end-to-end process (research → wireframes → shipped outcomes). Strong proficiency in Figma (Design, FigJam, Figma Make) for wireframing, prototyping, and UI design. Solid UX fundamentals: information architecture, interaction design, usability heuristics, and user flows. Hands-on experience designing UX for AI agentic workflows and using AI tools (e.g., Claude, Figma Make) as part of the design process. Experience contributing to and designing within a design system. Proven ability to move from ambiguous problems to working prototypes and to partner with engineering/product to ship features. Strong communication skills and ability to defend design decisions.
Nice-to-haves: Experience conducting or synthesizing user research and usability testing. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) or designing for regulated, compliance-heavy industries. Prior startup experience. Workplace & Schedule RADICL uses a hybrid work model: in-office on Monday/Wednesday/Thursday and work-from-home on Tuesday/Friday. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
