Division Director, IT Staffing (Producing Manager)The Phoenix Group Advisors, Inc. | New York, NY | Hybrid The Phoenix Group Advisors is seeking a Division Director to grow our IT staffing business while leading and developing a team of technical recruiters. This is a producing leadership role with responsibility for personal billings, new business development, client relationships, and team performance. You will actively prospect, win business, and close placements while coaching recruiters to deliver strong results. About TPGTPG is a boutique staffing and workforce solutions firm headquartered in Manhattan and serving clients nationwide. We combine specialized Talent Advisors, AI-assisted sourcing, and human-led evaluation to deliver thoughtful hiring solutions. Our approach centers on strong relationships, curated shortlists, and quality over quantity. Business Development & Personal Production Build and manage your own book of business, with accountability for individual revenue and gross profit goals. Win new clients through consistent prospecting, referrals, networking, and targeted outreach. Develop relationships with technology leaders, hiring managers, and other decision-makers to uncover direct hire, contract, and project staffing opportunities. Lead client discovery and intake conversations, qualify opportunities, and negotiate fees and terms within company guidelines. Expand existing accounts by identifying additional hiring needs, teams, and projects. Stay involved throughout the placement process, helping move searches from intake through interviews, offers, and starts. Team Leadership & Division Growth Manage, coach, and develop technical recruiters through regular one-on-ones, pipeline reviews, and practical training. Set clear expectations for activity, candidate quality, placements, and revenue. Address performance gaps promptly. Help recruiters prioritize searches, strengthen screening and submissions, and improve interview-to-placement results. Coach the team to turn candidate conversations, referrals, and market intelligence into business development opportunities. Maintain accurate activity, client feedback, and pipeline data in Bullhorn. Use reporting to guide decisions and forecasts. Partner with leadership on division strategy, internal hiring, and profitable growth.
What You Bring:
At least 5 years of recent staffing agency industry experience, with a strong background in IT staffing. Five or more years of total agency experience preferred. Demonstrated success generating your own business, winning new accounts, and consistently producing revenue. Prior experience managing recruiters, including coaching, goal setting, and performance accountability. Experience balancing an active production desk with team leadership responsibilities. Knowledge of technology roles and the recruiting process, with the ability to speak credibly with clients and candidates. Strong prospecting, consultative sales, negotiation, and closing skills. Experience using an ATS/CRM and performance reporting tools. Bullhorn experience is a plus. Ability to work a hybrid schedule from our Manhattan office.
