About the role

Our client, an established commercial real estate agency in Downtown Chicago, is searching for a Temp-to-Hire Office & Tenant Experience Coordinator. This highly visible, front-facing role will serve as a key point of contact for tenants, visitors, and vendors while helping ensure the office runs smoothly day to day. This is an excellent opportunity for a current college student with daytime availability or an early-career professional looking for a consistent schedule, stable work environment, and the opportunity to gain hands-on professional office experience. A college degree is not required, and prior commercial real estate experience is not necessary. Note this is an on-site position with 5 days in office per week and a trial period of up to 90 days. The role starts at $18/hour when temporary and is $42,500–$45,000 once permanent.
Responsibilities: Serve as the face of the office and greet tenants and visitors. Manage office communications via phone, email, and physical mail. Maintain detailed records of maintenance requests within a digital database, ensuring requests are communicated to the appropriate staff and/or vendors. Oversee office inventory, ordering supplies when needed. Interface with tenants regarding questions, concerns, and issues, solving any immediate problems that arise. Support daily office operations as needed.
Requirements: Customer service, hospitality, retail, reception, or other people-facing experience preferred. Current college students with daytime availability are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Bilingual Spanish is a plus. A dependable, relationship- and service-oriented mentality with strong communication skills. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and professionalism. Ability to commit to a consistent Monday–Friday daytime schedule.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
