About the role
Food Talent Solutions has partnered with a growing food manufacturer to identify aDirector of Sourcing & Procurementto lead the company's domestic and global sourcing strategy based in Terre Haute, IN.
This is a newly created senior leadership position reporting directly to the CFO, with responsibility for strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement operations, and development of the company's procurement organization.
Key Role Information Lead sourcing strategy across ingredients, proteins, packaging, MRO, and other key spend categories
Develop and manage domestic and global supplier relationships, negotiations, contracts, and supplier performance
Drive cost savings, supply continuity, risk mitigation, and total cost improvement
Partner closely with Operations, R&D, Quality, Finance, and executive leadership on business and product initiatives
Lead and develop the procurement organization, including a Purchasing Manager and four indirect team members

What We're Looking For:
Demonstrated years of progressive sourcing/procurement or supply chain experience
Leadership experience within food manufacturing, pet food, animal nutrition, CPG, or a similar commodity-driven manufacturing environment
Strong ingredient and packaging sourcing experience
Demonstrated success with supplier negotiations, contracts, cost reduction, and global sourcing
Bachelor's degree required; MBA and/or CPSM/CPIM preferred
SAP and food/feed regulatory experience are pluses
