School Spanish Teacher Responsibilities:
Teach several Spanish courses each semester for students in grades 7-9.Teach Spanish language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through a variety of instructional methods. Create opportunities for students to practice conversational Spanish and improve pronunciation and comprehension. Organizing events where students can showcase their Spanish language skills. Communicate with parents regarding student progress and behavior. Participate in regular professional development activities to stay current with best practices and innovation in language education. Serve as an advisor to students, providing guidance and support to promote academic progress and student success. Middle
School Spanish Teacher Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Linguistics, Education, or related required. Master's degree preferred. Proven written and verbal proficiency in Spanish.2-3 years of previous teaching experience preferred. Previous experience working with middle school students. No teaching license or credential is required. Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills. Organized, dependable, and eager to contribute to the school community. Willingness to assist with school sports teams and/or extracurricular activities. Additional Desired Qualities: Ability to teach an additional language, particularly French.
