Job Captain Phoenix, Arizona | Local project and site visits as needed Join a collaborative commercial architecture and construction team delivering projects across the Phoenix area. We’re looking for a detail-oriented Job Captain who can guide drawing production, coordinate with project teams and consultants, and help keep work accurate and on schedule. This role works closely with Project Managers and studio leadership, with opportunities to contribute from document development through construction administration and project closeout.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the technical execution and production of project drawings under the direction of the Project Manager and Studio Director. Manage drawing workloads and deliverables against project schedules, tracking progress and addressing deadlines. Coordinate with outside consultants and internal teams to support clear, complete, well-coordinated construction documents. Assist with construction administration, including submittal and shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, site visits, city submittals, and record drawings. Participate in internal, client, consultant, and off-site project meetings. Work with estimating and construction teams to clarify project details, bidding considerations, and document coordination. Follow established quality control procedures and help maintain the accuracy and completeness of project documents. Provide project status updates and participate in weekly team meetings. Support team priorities, shared deadlines, and continuous improvement across the firm.
What You’ll Bring:
Strong working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD, along with Microsoft Excel and Word. Understanding of construction documents, construction administration, and related project procedures. Familiarity with local zoning, building and energy codes, building systems, and ADA requirements. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail. Clear communication and coordination skills when working with clients, consultants, coworkers, and project leadership. A collaborative, team-minded approach, combined with the ability to work independently and manage your own workload. A commitment to delivering accurate work on schedule and supporting the success of the full project team.
Compensation & Benefits:
