Role Description: The Travel Physical Therapist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chico, CA. In this role, the Physical Therapist provides direct patient care, including evaluation, development, and implementation of individualized treatment plans to promote mobility, function, and independence. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, documenting clinical findings and progress, and educating patients and families on therapeutic exercises, injury prevention, and home programs. The therapist will work across rehabilitation settings as needed, adapting treatment to diverse patient populations and clinical environments. This role also involves maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, facility policies, and best practices in evidence-based physical therapy.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong skills in Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation, and Medicine as they relate to therapeutic evaluation and treatment planning. Candidates should possess robust Patient Care and Home Care skills, including the ability to provide compassionate, safe, and effective care across various settings. Active state license (or eligibility for licensure) as a Physical Therapist; Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent required. Previous clinical experience in inpatient, outpatient, or home health rehabilitation strongly preferred. Ability to work independently, manage a varied caseload, and adapt to new clinical environments as a travel provider. Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with a commitment to ethical practice and patient-centered care. Basic life support (BLS) certification and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems are beneficial.
