Role Description:
This is an on-site contract role for a Deckhand based in S.E Alaka during the seine salmon season. The Deckhand will perform physically demanding labor in the daily operations aboard the vessel. Other required jobs will include general maintenance, learning a lot of new skills, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. Team work is the key to a safe, profitable season. We have 4 crew members and one captain onboard.
Qualifications:
Physical stamina and ability to work long hours in demanding weather conditions Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team Previous experience in the fishing industry or related maritime roles is a plus Valid certifications in maritime safety or first aid are beneficialenjoying the ocean and adventure is necessaryability to “embrace the suck” and never give upwomen snd men are able to do this job, but there is no “pulling the girl card” aboard my vessel as I am a female myself. the harder we work the more money we make, that mist be understood
