Responsibilities/Duties: Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidentsConduct regular patrolsMonitor activitiesSurveillanceAccess ControlSafety escortsUsing provided communication devicesRepresent SSNW's brandProperly wear the issued uniformComplete Daily Activity Reports (DAR)Complete Incident ReportsWork with local law enforcement, and emergency servicesProvide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures.Other duties as described in the Post OrdersRequired Skills/Abilities: Smart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting.Reliable transportationHonesty and IntegrityAble to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays2-4 years of combined experience (Military, Law Enforcement, and/or Security) preferredMust have a valid driver's licenseMust have a clean criminal record and driving recordMust hold a Washington State DOL Unarmed or Armed Security Guard LicenseMust hold a current TWIC cardAbility to react appropriately in high stress situationsEducation and Experience: High School Diploma or EquivalentPrior Public Safety and/or Military experience preferredTWIC card requiredKnowledge of security protocols, and equipmentPhysical Requirements: Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrolsAble to stand 8-12 hours a dayMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally) SSNW is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of applicant and employee information.
