About the role

Montana State University is hiring a CatCard Systems Specialist to maintain the system, database, and hardware and firmware behind the university's ID card program. The specialist reports to the CatCard Manager and provides advanced technical knowledge of the software and equipment the card supports. The role also delivers customer service to students, staff, and faculty. Highlights Maintain the CatCard system, database, and associated hardware and firmware. Manage campus-wide access control through door unlock schedules and patron access assignments. Install, troubleshoot, and inventory hardware such as card printers, POS systems, and access equipment. Plan and prioritize software upgrades, server and database maintenance, and system configurations to limit downtime. Update meal plans, declining-balance plans, and other purchase types in various databases. Analyze CatCash transactions, deposits, and reconciliations, and produce invoices and reports. Train users on Auxiliary Services credit card terminals and act as liaison for PCI training completion. Bring progressively responsible administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer experience with OneCard systems such as Atrium, Transact, or CBORD, and with electronic access control hardware. Pay $22.99 per hour with benefits eligibility.
