About the role
To support the financial soundness of Select Health and Intermountain, the full-time remote FSA Licensed Actuarial Manager will apply actuarial principles to oversee financial calculations, manage ACA and Medicare filings, and contribute to provider contracting strategies.
Key responsibilities
Oversee the calculation and management of financial statements, including IBNR reserves and actuarial forecasting models
Coordinate ACA strategy and risk adjustment accruals while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
Direct Medicare bid filing development and conduct in-depth financial analysis for Medicaid and pharmacy benefits
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in math, statistics, computer science, economics, or finance from an accredited institution
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) with 12 or 14 years of relevant actuarial experience, respectively
Understanding of health insurance products and the underlying theory of assumptions used in product development
Minimum of 4 years of actuarial managerial experience
