As DoW AI Product Senior Engineer, you will own key engineering workstreams, mentor junior teammates, and deliver production-quality AI-enabled software for defense mission environments.

JOB SUMMARY: As DoW AI Product Senior Engineer, you will lead the design, development, integration, and deployment of Thoriva AI products for Department of War mission environments — building AI-enabled features, secure software components, and mission applications that serve defense customers. You will work across cloud, edge, and mission environments, mentor junior engineers, support customer demonstrations and proposals, and help establish Thoriva's engineering standards for quality and delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Design and develop AI-enabled product features for DoW mission users. Build secure, scalable software components for cloud, edge, and mission environments. Integrate AI models, data services, APIs, user interfaces, and operational workflows. Lead implementation for assigned product modules or mission applications. Mentor junior engineers and support code reviews, testing, documentation, and delivery standards. Support technical demonstrations, prototypes, pilots, production deployments, and proposal inputs. Contribute to architecture decisions, technical tradeoff analysis, and engineering planning. Ensure software meets security, performance, and mission reliability requirements.
Required Qualifications: 6+ years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML engineering, data engineering, cloud engineering, secure systems, or mission systems development. Experience building production-quality software applications or AI-enabled systems. Strong programming experience in Python, JavaScript, or comparable languages. Experience with APIs, microservices, containers, databases, and cloud-native development. Familiarity with AI/ML model integration, prompt engineering, data pipelines, or applied AI workflows. Ability to operate in fast-paced product and customer environments. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Active Secret or Top Secret clearance. Experience with DoD, federal, or defense mission systems. Experience with DevSecOps toolchains.
