About the role
Rapid Application Developer (Long-Term Contract - Onsite in Miami, Florida - 5 days a week) Job Function Summary The position entails the rapid development of applications aimed at enhancing middle-office and operational processes, identifying procedural gaps and risks, and ensuring the accuracy of data generated by internal systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise across various domains, including UI development, application development with Python, Angular, DevOps, and Data Engineering. The candidate will engage closely with key stakeholders and senior management across departments and regions to design and execute projects and initiatives, ensuring their timely delivery. Additionally, the candidate will also collaborate with the Global Operations Control team and work with internal resources and external counterparties to continuously improve processes.

Requirements:
- Execute the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Qualifications/Skills Required
- Expert-level development experience in Python, including async programming, packaging, and testing (pytest).Strong system design skills – distributed systems, API design, data modeling, concurrency, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Expert-level proficiency in FastAPI (or Flask/Django) for building scalable backend services.
- Experience with SQLAlchemy (including async), Alembic, and Pydantic.
- Advanced experience with Pandas, NumPy, and other data manipulation libraries.
- Strong database experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and query optimization.
- Experience with Redis, message/task queues, and WebSockets.
- Expert knowledge of Linux systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) and Windows Server administration.
- Experience with server deployment and configuration (Nginx, IIS, Gunicorn/Uvicorn, systemd).Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, and JIRA for version control and CI/CD.Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with senior stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Angular and TypeScript.
Experience with gRPC or other RPC frameworks.
Exposure to KDB+/q or other time-series databases.
Knowledge of financial markets – equities, derivatives, trade lifecycle, positions, and reconciliation.
