Role Description:
The Medical Scheduling Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Des Plaines, IL. Headquarters is located in Darien, IL. Employee must have reliable transportation and be comfortable with commute to Des Plaines and Darien location. This role is responsible for managing patient appointments, coordinating provider schedules, and ensuring timely and accurate scheduling for home visits. Daily tasks include answering phone calls, confirming and rescheduling appointments, verifying patient information, verifying patients insurance for eligibility, and documenting interactions in scheduling and EMR systems. The coordinator communicates clearly with patients, caregivers, and clinical staff to address scheduling needs, resolve conflicts, and support smooth clinic operations. The role involves general administrative/clerical support such as, but not limited to, maintaining records, preparing schedules, processing orders from physicians, faxing, scanning, filing, answering incoming calls, assisting with follow-up reminders and carrying out all tasks/duties assigned by your office supervisor and management team members. Job Types: Full Time days/hours: Mondays-Fridays 9am-5pm

Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients, caregivers, and staff. Professional phone etiquette and clear communication skills for handling calls and messages. Proficiency in appointment scheduling, including managing calendars and coordinating provider availability. Experience with administrative assistance tasks such as data entry, record keeping, and document organization. Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Comfort with basic computer applications and, ideally, medical scheduling or electronic health record systems. Ability to type and text at an efficient pace. Previous experience in a healthcare or medical office setting is required. An Associates degree or equivalent is required; additional training in medical administration is a plus.
