About the role

Are you a dedicated, hands-on HR leader who is genuinely passionate about employee relations and frontline operational support? We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager for a thriving, mid-sized business in Southeast Broward. This role is built for an experienced HR Generalist or ER Specialist who knows how to navigate both sides of the business: acting as a firm, strategic partner to leadership while remaining a trusted, advocate-minded resource for employees. If you bring a high level of emotional intelligence, value real human connection on the floor, and thrive in an agile, mid-sized operational environment, this role offers full ownership and direct impact.
Key Responsibilities: Employee Relations Ownership: Lead all workplace relations, conflict resolution, and complex workplace investigations from intake through resolution with complete autonomy. Manager Coaching & Upskilling: Partner directly with department heads and frontline supervisors to coach them on constructive communication, performance management, and HR best practices. Compliance & LOA Management: Oversee end to end administration of FMLA, leaves of absence, Workers' Compensation, and state and federal labor compliance. Operational Floor Presence: Maintain an accessible, visible presence within operational areas to build trust, anticipate workforce needs, and foster high morale. Practical Problem Solving: Apply a practical, solution-oriented approach to daily HR operations in a fast-paced environment where processes are clear and agile.
Required Qualifications: 10+ years of progressive HR experience with a heavy emphasis on and genuine passion for Employee Relations. Deep background in mid-sized, manufacturing, blue-collar, or family-owned organizations, prioritizing practical, agile settings over large enterprise models. Strong technical foundation in labor laws, FLSA, FMLA/LOA administration, and Workers' Compensation. Demonstrated capability to assess complex workplace issues rapidly, make sound decisions independently, and resolve disputes from intake to resolution. Exceptional emotional intelligence, an approachable style, and firm compliance judgment. Exposure to union environments or union foundational practices is a plus.
What the Role Offers: Competitive Base Salary: Up to $120,000 based on experience. Direct Impact: A high-trust role where your expertise directly shapes workplace culture and manager capability.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
