Empower the next generation of Boston writers!826 Boston is a nonprofit writing, tutoring, and publishing organization where students in grades K-12 and beyond can share their stories, amplify their voices, and develop as leaders in school and in life. Offer individualized support to students in Boston Public Schools, and in our Writing and Tutoring Center in Egleston Square! What will you do? Support students with everything from homework to creative storytelling Help seniors tackle their college essays Assist in turning student drafts into professionally-published books Bridge language gaps to help English Language Learners tell their stories Contribute your skills to our Professional and Creative Writing Workshops Choose one-off or recurring shifts as you please, on a flexible schedule! No subject proficiency needed – just a willingness to support students and form a lasting bond. We offer an in-depth 90 minute training that covers all the necessary steps and requirements.
