Schedule: 8am- 5pmJob Summary:
Forklift Operator
Responsibilities:
Operate sit-down (including reach trucks) to move goods between receiving, storage, and shipping areas in cold storage.
Load and unload products from trucks, trailers, and railcars; secure loads and ensure proper pallet stacking.
Assist with put-away, picking, packing, and order staging; verify and label inventory; support cycle counts and audits.
Work in controlled temperature environments (often as low as -20°ree; F / -25°ree; C) while wearing appropriate PPE.Perform pre-shift forklift inspections; follow OSHA and facility safety rules; maintain safe speeds, visibility, and fork positioning
Qualifications:
- Forklift certified
- Bilingual English/ Spanish
- Prior forklift operation experience, preferably in a warehouse or cold storage setting.
- Strength to lift and maneuver heavy loads; ability to work in cold, humid conditions.
- Accuracy in loading/unloading, inventory tracking, and safety compliance.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
