Infrastructure Finance Intern

Job Summary In the role of Infrastructure Finance Intern, we’ll count on you to assist development of financial plans required under the State Revolving Fund Program, aid in identifying projects competitive for grant programs such as CA Climate Bonds/Proposition4 and the BUILD America 250 Act, and write grant applications. Research and evaluate potential funding sources and financing strategies; assist in the development of financial strategies for water projects and capital improvement programs across transit, rail, freight, active transportation, and airport projects in all lifecycle phases. Assist in developing financial models for a utility rate study, support studies involving analysis of financial, economic, and statistical data, conduct research analyses and data processing, help create solutions for economic and policy issues, coordinate with project teams for data collection, write reports, and perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Economics, Public Finance, Business or related field (required) Interest and potential experience in capital improvement plans, financial planning for water agencies, State Departments of Water, Metropolitan Planning Organizations and/or municipal governments Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (required) Ability to support interaction with clients Required Qualifications Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program Attention to detail is a must Strong problem‑solving and communication skills are required Basic Microsoft Office skills Commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must EEO Statement At HDR, we are committed to the principles of employment equity.
