Business Development Manager - Fire and Security Alarm Job Openings Business Development Manager - Fire and Security Alarm About the job Business Development Manager - Fire and Security Alarm We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive the growth of integrated security solutions for commercial, industrial, higher education, and municipal clients. This role focuses on building long-term customer relationships, understanding client needs, and delivering tailored solutions. You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to solution development, proposal presentation, and closing deals, ensuring customer satisfaction at every step.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive sales of integrated security and low voltage technology solutions to building owners, general contractors, electrical contractors, engineers, architects, and consultants. Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including building owners, contractors, and architectural/engineering firms. Create and execute a strategic sales plan, focusing on pipeline growth and achieving sales targets. Use technical expertise to design and propose solutions that meet client needs and align with their objectives.Lead design and construction discussions, influencing decisions with owners, contractors, and consultants. Prepare competitive, high-quality bids, proposals, cost-benefit analyses, and negotiate successful deals. Utilize sales tools to track opportunities, pipeline stages, and milestones in the sales process. Collaborate with product partners, subcontractors, engineers, project managers, and internal teams to ensure project success and client satisfaction. Communicate project vision and sales strategy to all relevant stakeholders.RequiredSkills & Qualifications Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma. Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, including 3+ years within the integrated security systems industry. Strong knowledge of the construction industry, including the construction process and owner-direct negotiated process. Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals, with a history of annual bookings exceeding $2 million. Experience in developing complex project solutions, estimates, and proposals. Familiarity with major security systems such as Lenel, Genetec, Software House, Milestone, and Avigilon.Preferred Qualifications:Understanding of enterprise network architecture and ability to recommend networked security solutions. Familiarity with low voltage systems, including AV, Emergency DAS, and telecom applications.Essential Job FunctionsAbility to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, and materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Regularly navigate construction sites, including climbing stairs and ladders. Physical ability to kneel, stoop, and crawl as needed. Maintain a valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
