The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing and protecting the company's reputation, mission, and business objectives through a wide range of activities, including integrated communications, media relations, community affairs, and stakeholder engagement. This role requires a strategic leader with a minimum of 10 years' experience in public affairs or related disciplines, a Bachelor's degree, and a proven track record of advising senior leaders and leading through complex environments. The Market Public Affairs Leader will also be accountable for ensuring that enterprise Public Affairs priorities are effectively translated into market strategies and that local market realities inform enterprise decision-making. Key responsibilities for the Market Public Affairs Leader include serving as a trusted advisor to market and health plan leadership, leading a market-based Public Affairs team, and maintaining strong relationships with local media, community leaders, and other influential stakeholders. The role demands a professional who can balance enterprise consistency with local relevance, operate as both a strategic counselor and operational leader, and ensure the company's presence is visible, trusted, and credible in the communities it serves. Experience in healthcare or a highly regulated industry is strongly preferred, and the candidate should have a demonstrated ability to lead through influence, particularly in represented employee and labor environments.
