Job title: Financial Planning & Analysis Manager Location: Hoboken, NJ, USAType of contract: Full Time About the role To support the rapid growth of our division, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to support the financial operations of our business, across the Parfums de Marly and Initio brands. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Finance, the Manager will oversee a team of 2 direct reports and play a critical role in ensuring the company’s financial health and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will thrive in an entrepreneurial and fast-moving environment, demonstrating hands-on adaptability and resourcefulness. Strong technical expertise, particularly in financial processes and advanced Excel skills, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Analysis
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to track company performance, revenue, expenses, and support strategic decision-making
  • Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and present clear and actionable insights to senior leadership, as well as providing analysis and support for ad-hoc requests
  • Lead financial budget and forecasting processes, working cross-functionally across the organization and closely with executive leadership
  • Streamline financial processes/reporting and implement efficient tools to improve accuracy and productivity
  • Strategic Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Head of Finance and Global HQ to align financial strategies with business objectives
  • Support new initiatives, including product launches and market expansion, by evaluating financial implications
  • Lead cross-functional meetings with Marketing, Sales and Operations
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align financial planning with promotional strategies, product pricing, and revenue goals, and provide financial insights to support campaigns, sales forecasts, and performance analysis
  • Proven ability to work efficiently with both external and internal partners
  • ReportingOversee and support day-to-day financial reporting, month-end and year-end closing processes, and perform related reconciliations and data validations
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Work cross-functionally to oversee the lifecycle of the purchase order/invoicing process, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency in AP/AR activities
  • Operational Excellence
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and ways-of-working
  • Optimize cash flow management and working capital
  • Oversee audits and liaise with external auditors as needed to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance
  • Display ingenuity in anticipating needs and adapting to changing situations and generate ideas to increase processes/procedures efficiencies
  • Team Leadership
  • Manage, mentor, and develop direct reports within the finance team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Delegate tasks effectively and provide constructive feedback
  • Proven ability to manage both upward and downward
Role: Specific Skills:
Technical Skills Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CFA designation is a plus 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the luxury goods or consumer products sector. Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems (ideally with SAP) and PowerBI, advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex reconciliations), and ability to learn and navigate multiple financial systems Strong understanding of GAAP and financial compliance requirements Familiarity with the purchasing cycle, contract negotiation, and vendor evaluation Soft Skills Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities High attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships across departments Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven Desired Background and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA a plus

  • This position is based in Hoboken, New Jersey with standard office hours.4 days per week in person in the office are required
