About the role
Leading chemistry efforts within a cross-functional project team, the full-time Medicinal Chemistry Project Leader will drive PROTAC projects from inception to clinical candidate nomination, with a focus on degrader-antibody conjugates, in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities:
Drive milestone decision-making on assigned PROTAC projects in line with target product profiles and timelines
Expeditiously design PROTACs and degrader-antibody conjugates using advanced computational chemistry resources
Analyze complex datasets to generate new testable hypotheses and ensure effective collaboration with external CRO resources
Required qualifications:
PhD in organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry with 8+ years of pharma/biotech drug discovery experience
Proven track record of leading research projects through milestone decisions toward clinical candidate nomination
Extensive experience in synthetic and medicinal chemistry, particularly with antibody-drug conjugates
Deep understanding of pharmacokinetic principles and in vivo pharmacology
Ability to effectively communicate project needs and strategies to multidisciplinary teams and senior leaders
