About the role
Forklift Operator – 1st Shift - Salina, KSGreat Plains currently has an opening for a 1st Shift Forklift Operator for the Salina 7 Fabrication department. This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Responsibilities:
Movement of parts and material with accurate paperwork Service department by ensuring the proper parts and material are available at the proper place and time Assist with fab line processes as needed Safe and efficient operation of a forklift Assist outside receiving, loading and shipping as needed Inspection and routine maintenance of forklift Will be responsible for working with cycle count program Other duties as assigned Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment. Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
Qualifications:
Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to use AS400 to find location of parts, routing of parts, product structure, and parts availability Ability to work in a fast paced environment Reliable attendance Forklift certification preferred but will train Understand team concept and be a strong team player At Great Plains Manufacturing, our people make the difference, making our company a great place to work and grow.
