Job Description
Job Title: Engineer
Location: Reston VA 20190
Duration: 12 months
Job Description: -
Experience running distributed applications spanning multiple sites
Experience running applications for large scale environments
Knowledge of running applications in shared virtualized environments (cloud)
Advanced tactical troubleshooting skills and performance tuning of applications and server resources
Knowledge of networking OSI model and the communications that happen at each tier
Proven experience of scripting to assist in troubleshooting and application issue remediation (Python, shell)
Experience developing, supporting, and using automation tools to manage changes to large environments (ansible, puppet)
Proven experience with load balancing and GSLB tools to distribute applications for performance and failover scenarios
Security focused approach while architecting solutions.
Experience designing application deployment for load, scale, and fault tolerance.
Qualifications
Items that are a plus:
Experience with mail systems, imap servers
Use of Object storage with end user applications
Dovecot, Zimbra mail server experience
Openstack at an operator/consumer level
Expertise with HAProxy
Cassandra experience, including performance tuning and application tuning
