About the role

Position Overview: An established private credit investment firm is looking for a Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and run its cloud data infrastructure. You'll own the pipelines and platform that feed investment, portfolio, and operational decisions, and help bring AI capabilities into the firm's business applications.
Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platform infrastructure Deploy, monitor, and optimize data services across Azure, with some work in GCP and AWSBuild ETL/ELT pipelines pulling from portfolio management systems, market data vendors, fund administrators, and internal apps Design data models, schemas, and warehouse structures for reporting, analytics, and BIPut data quality checks, validation, and governance in place across the firm Keep the platform secure and aligned with financial services regulatory requirements Lead platform projects such as migrations and new technology rollouts Partner with Finance, Operations, and Investment teams on data needs and platform updates
Required Qualifications: 10+ years of data engineering or data platform experience Hands-on Azure experience Experience integrating AI capabilities into existing business applications and workflows Based in the New York City office Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field Strong grasp of pipeline architecture, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing Proficiency in SQL plus at least one scripting or programming language Track record integrating disparate data sources and systems Proven ability to lead projects and juggle competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree Web application development across front end and back end Building LLM-based tools, automation, or predictive models Experience with loan administration and portfolio platforms (WSO, Clear Par, Allvue, or similar)
