About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Scheduler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring daily and weekly production schedules to ensure customer orders are delivered on time and production resources are optimized. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, has strong analytical and organizational skills, and enjoys collaborating across departments to drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, customer demand, and manufacturing capacity. Monitor work-in-progress and adjust schedules to address material shortages, equipment downtime, production delays, or changing priorities. Communicate scheduling updates and production priorities to operations, warehouse, customer service, and other key stakeholders. Partner with procurement and inventory teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components. Track schedule performance and identify opportunities to improve production flow and efficiency. Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within ERP/MRP systems. Assist with inventory reconciliation and cycle count activities as required. Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and key performance metrics. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications & Experience: Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of production scheduling, planning, or related experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience working with ERP/MRP systems is required. Experience with Epicor ERP is considered an asset. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Skills &
Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data management. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business demands. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven. Ability to build positive working relationships with employees across all levels of the organization. Team-oriented mindset with a customer-focused approach. Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles is considered an asset. Ability to interpret blueprints and customer specifications accurately is a plus.
