Import / Export Coordinator Global pharmaceutical company is seeking an experienced Import/Export Coordinator. Competitive salary, bonus and excellent benefits.
Position Summary: Coordinate import/export shipments to and from multiple countries, working with freight forwarders, import clearing houses, carriers, customers and internal teams to ensure compliant, timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure import/export activities comply with applicable U.S. and international laws, regulations and company policies. Coordinate export shipments, including labeling, inspections, securing cargo and required documentation (bill of lading, packing list, invoices, Customs/TSA/airline documents).Work with customers, freight forwarders, trucking companies, carriers and internal departments to resolve shipment issues and delays and support OTIF performance. Arrange transportation from the warehouse to ports/airports; submit documents to carriers and freight forwarders and maintain required files/data. Manage CMO/export orders and inbound CMO receipts to the U.S. 3PL; track and trace CMO and ROW orders daily. Resolve logistical issues, LC roadblocks, returns and export discrepancies; partner with Sales and other departments as needed. Communicate customer delays to management and collaborate across Planning, Customer Relations and Transportation.
Required Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of relevant import/export experience. IMDG and IATA certification. Strong knowledge of export processes, freight forwarders, ocean carriers, export regulations, Customs and intermodal requirements. Knowledge of international trade laws, sanctioned-party screening, country-specific requirements, labeling, inspections and documentation. Ability to audit import entry filings, resolve discrepancies, request corrections and reconcile/protest entries as appropriate. Knowledge of dangerous goods shipping, DOT/IATA regulations, document retention and domestic/foreign transportation requirements. Experience with shipping/returns processes, warehousing/inventory and supply-chain inventory management systems/planning functions. Knowledge of LCs, Business Objects and working with 3PLs; understanding of operations/freight spend, repacking and relabeling. Strong communication, organization, collaboration, problem-solving and ability to interpret government regulations and communicate at a high level. Why Consider This Opportunity?
