About the role
Lead consultant with PBCS and Hyperion Planning Job Summary The Lead Consultant for Oracle EPM Cloud PBCS is responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation, customization, and maintenance of Oracle EPM Cloud Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service for clients. They will collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements, provide expert guidance on EPM solutions, and ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities Lead the implementation of Oracle EPM Cloud PBCS projects, from requirements gathering to deployment. Customize Oracle EPM Cloud PBCS applications to meet specific client needs and ensure optimal performance. Provide technical expertise and guidance on Oracle EPM Cloud PBCS functionalities to clients and internal teams. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges faced during the Oracle EPM Cloud PBCS implementation process. Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure proper utilization of Oracle EPM Cloud PBCS applications. Stay updated on the latest Oracle EPM Cloud PBCS features and functionalities to continuously enhance service delivery. Skill Requirements In-depth knowledge of Oracle EPM Cloud Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS), including configuration, customization, and administration. Proficient in EPM business processes such as financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Strong understanding of Oracle Hyperion Planning and Essbase. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment to deliver high-quality solutions. Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities to address complex EPM challenges efficiently. Certifications : Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service Specialist Certification is preferred. Additional Requirements : 8+ years of experience with 2-3 implementation experience in EPM Cloud. Experience in working end-to-end EPM implementation projects with exceptionally good writing skills for business rules. Understanding of FR reporting studio, Smart View reporting, dashboards, etc. Understanding the requirements and creation of functional documents. Creating multiple scenarios by interpreting data on the functional side as per the business requirements. Good understanding of IGAAP, USGAAP accounting methods. Understanding of organization model financial statements, annual reports, and creation of financial reports. Lead and conduct discovery sessions/workshops to define business requirements and scope. Conduct and document Fit-Gap analysis between delivered functionality in Hyperion and customer requirements. Provide subject matter expertise in Oracle EPM systems. Thorough understanding of accounting concepts, balance sheet, PL, cash flow understanding, methods of consolidation like equity, cost methods, consolidation accounting, currency translation adjustment, movements, minority interests, goodwill calculation. Good knowledge in creation of application components of EPM Cloud, planning dimensions, data management, Smart View, web forms, business rules, workflow approval, close manager artifacts, and application security matrix. Technical knowledge of scripting for writing custom consolidations, translation logic, business rules, and EPM automation. Strong understanding of corporate month-end close and consolidation process and actual corporate reporting requirements. Strong experience to understand the elimination process, consolidation methods, and chart of accounts. Strong knowledge in data integration from different sources. Monthly close process consolidation; create and maintain end-user web forms; develop and maintain rules based on business needs.
