About the role

A Taleo client is seeking an experienced Senior Developer – Commercial Applicationswith 12+ years of experience to develop, enhance, support, and maintain critical commercial applications and integrations. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on technical expertise across PowerBuilder, Microsoft .NET technologies, APIs, Microsoft SQL Server, and web server technologies.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, enhance, support, and maintain critical commercial applications and integrations. Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to identify and deliver technology solutions that address business needs. Participate in application architecture, design reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities. Design, develop, troubleshoot, and optimize complex business solutions while ensuring application stability, scalability, and performance. Support application integrations across multiple platforms and systems using APIs and modern integration technologies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, performance, and user experience. Provide technical leadership and contribute to best practices for development, deployment, and support processes. Lead technical discussions and contribute to IT solution decisions in business and Information Services (IS) meetings.
Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of relevant application development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with
  • PowerBuilder, Microsoft .NET technologies, APIs, Microsoft SQL Server, and web server technologies .Proven experience in the development, support, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise business applications.
  • Experience with PowerBuilder and .NET build and release management processes.
  • Strong understanding of custom database-driven application development.
  • Experience integrating applications across multiple platforms and systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration capabilities.
  • Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts and solution designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and experience within the
  • Oil & Gas / Energy industry .Strong understanding of the Oil & Gas / Energy industry data lifecycle, includingtrade capture, validation, processing, and downstream integration .Experience withvolumetric scheduling processesand related Oil & Gas business data.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions that support commercial operations.
