About the role

Korn Ferry has partnered with a large, established biotechnology company seeking a National Account Director to serve as the primary strategic lead for a highly influential national account, building relationships across payer, PBM, pharmacy, clinical, policy, and executive stakeholders. This individual will help shape access strategies, lead negotiations, and collaborate across internal functions to support both existing products and future launches. This is not a traditional, highly prescriptive account management role. The organization is looking for a commercially minded leader who can bring structure to ambiguity while managing and building key partnerships.
What You'll Do: Manage existing strategic relationships with national and regional healthcare stakeholders. Partner cross-functionally with Market Access, Sales, Commercial Operations, Marketing, and Medical Affairs teams. Identify opportunities to expand access, drive customer engagement, and support business growth. Serve as a key commercial voice, helping influence account strategy and organizational priorities. Build processes and best practices in an environment where flexibility and innovation are valued. Navigate complex customer landscapes and evolving market dynamics.
What We're Looking For: 10+ years experience managing strategic accounts within biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, specialty therapeutics, or healthcare. Demonstrated success managing large national payer accounts Strong understanding of payer, provider, distributor, specialty pharmacy, or integrated delivery network environments. Proven ability to influence without authority and work effectively across multiple stakeholder groups. Why This Opportunity? This is a chance to join an organization at an inflection point. The ideal candidate will not only bring strong account management expertise but will also help shape the future direction of the role, the customer strategy, and the broader commercial organization.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
