About the role

Planning Assistant And Administrative Assistant Under supervision of the Vice President of Real Estate Development of Greater Watts Development Corporation, performs a variety of secretarial duties; plans, organizes, coordinates, activities and communications. Assist in every aspect of corporate operation, including but not limited to: preparation and submission of proposals, project management of capital improvement, planning and zoning projects, information gathering and the provision of support to the grants/contracts management implementation functions of the corporation. Also responsible for performing other duties as assigned by the VP.Three years of related work experience is desirable. Computer literacy and experience in software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to work with the various GWDC staff, consultants, contractors, community members, funding entities and other affiliates. Knowledge of entitlement and permit processing is desirable. Knowledge of office procedures, ability to manage concurrent tasks and follow directions is a must. Bachelor's degree in such fields as Urban Planning, Public Administration or Urban Studies. Clerical Skills Training and/or other related fields is highly desirable. Valid California Driver's License and agency of vehicle insurance is required. Compensation based on experience: $45,760 $52,000 annual ($22.00 $25.00 per hour)
