Machinist - 2nd Shift

What You'll Do: Read, understand, and follow technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Cut and prepare raw stock for machining operations. Set up tooling and work-holding fixtures on mill and lathe machines. Operate manual and CNC milling machines to produce parts to drawing requirements. Operate manual lathes to produce parts to drawing requirements. Perform machining operations while maintaining required quality and dimensional specifications. Inspect and verify completed machining operations using precision measuring instruments. Use equipment such as band saws, sanders, pedestal grinders, and related shop equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For: Previous machining experience with both milling and turning operations. Basic understanding of machining processes, tooling, and setup. Experience operating shop equipment such as band saws, sanders, and pedestal grinders. Ability to accurately use precision measuring instruments, including: Calipers MicrometersHeight gauges Other inspection equipment Ability to read and understand technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. Preferred Experience The following experience is a plus, but not required: Operating 3-axis and 5-axis CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers. Experience with Mastercam software.
