Duration: FTE
Salary Range: $160k - $170k annual salary + benefits + performance-based bonus Seeking an experienced Portfolio Specialist to join the bank’s Credit Review team, responsible for independently assessing credit decisions, evaluating risk management processes, and identifying potential credit risks across global portfolios involving Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR), and Structured Financing Transactions.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct credit transaction reviews and assess compliance with credit policies. Lead credit examinations as Examiner-in-Charge (EIC) or Assistant Examiner-in-Charge (AEIC).Evaluate counterparty exposures, credit limits, collateral, margin practices, and stress testing. Identify and document credit risks, control weaknesses, and remediation plans. Manage examination findings and communicate results to senior management, auditors, and regulators. Review junior examiners’ work and contribute to portfolio risk assessments.
Required Qualifications: 8–10+ years of experience in commercial credit, credit risk, underwriting, or credit review. Strong knowledge of Counterparty Credit Risk, exposure metrics, margin practices, and stress testing. Familiarity with ISDA/CSA agreements and derivatives transactions. Experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, and issue management. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Preferred: Experience in Hedge Funds, Prime Brokerage, Asset Management, or independent bank Credit Review.
